Welcome to Dahon 2004
A happy new year and hearty hello to everybody! Although we
had record sales in 2003, we can't wait to put war, natural
disasters, and SARS (hopefully) behind us. We're incredibly
excited about our 2004 product range - by far our best collection
of bikes ever. We have loads of new technology, some exciting
design partnerships, and hundreds of improvements to show you.
Many of the improvements we've made to our bikes were suggested
directly by our customers - thanks and keep the feedback coming!
For 2004, we've continued the perpetual upgrade process of our
bikes. Each and every single bike in our line has been carefully
scrutinized by our product team and improved in dozens of ways.
Many models are lighter. Most roll on higher performance tires
and wheels. And every single bike has had a significant frame
upgrade that includes a beautiful forged or investment-casted
Lattice hinge and custom forged drop-outs.
So what's new for 2004? For starters see the JetStream XP, the
world's lightest full suspension folding bike. This beauty of
a bike is light, fast, and oh so comfortable. Also see the Allegro,
a full size, standard geometry road bike that we developed with
Tom Ritchey. For all those roadies who wouldn't be caught dead
on a small wheel bike - the Allegro is your portable ride. And
for those of you who have a preference for dirt, you'll love
our Joe Murray designed mountain bikes - there are no other
portable mountain bikes on the market that even come close.
There are too many things to talk about here so we invite you
to browse through the site and see what's new.
2004 is shaping up to be the year that folding bicycles really
hit the mainstream. More and more trains and buses are only
allowing folding bikes on board during rush hours. And many
cities are planning to follow London's congestion charge lead.
Increasingly, folding bicycles are becoming the perfect solution
for urban mobility. So there's lots of fun and exciting stuff
just waiting for us in 2004.
Here's wishing you a healthy and happy 2004!
Sincerely,
David Hon
