| The Roo EL, the world’s
lightest, most portable, and functional electric bike. It rides like
a full size bike, has a powerful electric motor from SRAM, and folds
in 15 seconds. And because it only weighs 17 kilos (37.4 lbs.), it
can be taken anywhere. Ride it to work and if it’s raining, throw
it in the back of a friend’s car and catch a ride home. New for
2005 is a brand new Dahon customized Sparc motor from SRAM, which
has a range of 50 km, 20% more power, is 70% quieter and features
a lighter NiMh battery. This bike can be effectively marketed to older
Baby Boomers and the physically disabled – who would love to
return to bicycle riding but only need a bit of an "assist".
