Trips for Kids
Learn
more!
Trips for Kids is a national non-profit organization that provides
the materials, moral support and inspiration that an individual
or group needs in order to successfully start a Trips for Kids
Chapter and help disadvantaged kids discover the joy of mountain
biking. Based on the Trip for Kids Model Program in Marin County,
California, Trips for Kids bike programs have helped inner city
and low income kids across the United States and Canada by offering
mountain bike outings and environmental education. We open the
world of cycling to at risk youth through day-long mountain
bike rides and afterschool Earn-A-Bike programs. The goal of
our youth bike programs is to combine lessons in personal responsibility,
achievement and environmental awareness through the development
of practical skills and the simple act of having fun. |

"Your Support Keeps Libraries From
Folding."
Hello! This email is a sincere thank-you... I would not have
been able to do
my upcoming PR event without your help. I am a children's librarian
in the state of Iowa, and as part of our library's summer reading
program for children, I will be riding the Dahon across the
state of Iowa, stopping at various libraries along the way to
do a library PR program called "Your Support Keeps Libraries
From Folding." Using the Dahon foldable as my vehicle provides
an unforgettable visual image to accompany the call for grassroots
support of public libraries. I know this to be true as I have
seen first-hand the interest generated by watching a Dahon fold
up in a matter of seconds, and I am counting on the Dahon to
provide an extra kick to my event that a regular bicycle would
not. I am extremely grateful for your assistance.
Thanks again.
