I-Beam™ Saddles and Seat Posts
The traditional saddle rail design has been with us for decades, and while it works well enough, it does have distinct limitations when it comes to strength, weight, and ease of adjustment. A leader in the performance saddle market, SDG originally developed the I-Beam™ system to meet the needs of hard-core free riders who were always breaking their traditional railed saddles. The revolutionary I-Beam™ system replaces traditional saddle rails with a single carbon-composite beam. An unforeseen benefit was a dramatic reduction in weight: the well-padded saddle that we use weighs only 200 grams, lighter than many Titanium rail saddles. Other benefits include 400% more fore-aft adjustment to fit a wider range of riders, and super simple one bolt adjustment. We collaborated with SDG to develop an ultra light saddle that is more comfortable than their race-oriented saddles and also a custom SuperOversize seat post.
