Joe Murray Design
The ride of any bike is largely defined by the frame geometry. And in frame geometry, small changes make a really big difference. So when we began to re-design our 26" mountain and hybrid frames, we contacted Joe Murray, a legend in the mountain bike world. Joe's many accomplishments include being an original member of the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, a 2 time mountain bike National Champion, and winning 12 straight NORBA races (unmatched since). Joe is also a designer extraordinaire, currently working with Shimano Skunkworks and as head of design for Voodoo. Joe has also designed influential bikes for Kona, Marin and Merlin.

We began our Dahon frame re-design by specifying our ultra light Puro U6 aluminum tubing. Then we tweaked our geometry for classic Joe Murray XC hardtail handling: tight, balanced, yet stable. Then we added signature Joe Murray touches such as forward facing seat tubes, taller, gusseted and CNC machined head tubes, and replaceable derailleur hangers. The result: a bike that probably rides better than any non-folding hardtail that you've ever ridden.
