When it comes to folding bicycles, our engineers are the best in the business. But when it comes to high-end road frames, Tom Ritchey is at the top of the game. For 2004, we wanted to introduce a portable road bike that would be race worthy and would satisfy the most discriminating roadie so we partnered with Tom Ritchey to create a 700C bike based on his BAB frame technology. The resulting Dahon Allegro has the same ride and handling characteristics of any legendary Ritchey road frame yet disassembles in 10-15 minutes to fit into a small 23 x 66 x 73.5 cm (9" x 26" x 29") suitcase.
