| Forged LP Frame Hinge |
|
The hinge is the most critical part
of any folding bicycle frame. The hinge battles huge forces coming
from different directions so it must be immensely strong. Yet, it
must allow a quick and easy fold, cannot be too heavy, should look
good, and is best if unobtrusive. Almost all of these are opposing
design goals. In 2004, our forged hinges were extremely strong but
in our opinion, too chunky. So for 2005 we introduce our sleek new
LP (low profile) hinges that blend into the lines of the frame. We've
taken unnecessary weight out of the hinges with intricate ribbing
on the interior. The new LP hinges are beautifully forged and machined
- the finest folding hinges on the market.
