Lattice Frame Hinges
In year's past, we made extensive use of pressed, stamped and extruded parts for our hinges and latches. While this afforded us cost advantages and lightning fast development times, such manufacturing processes always smacked of low-end design. For 2004, we have moved decisively into forged and investment-casted components designed with the latest 3D CAD software. In addition to being far more elegant and beautiful, forged and investment-casted components are stronger and lighter than stamped or extruded parts and can be manufactured to tighter tolerances. Every one our 2004 bikes features a beautiful Lattice hinge (forged for aluminum frames and investment-casted for steel frames) and forged frame drop-outs.
