GroundFloor Frame Design
Most traditional bicycle frames have a high step over height. For obvious reasons, these frame designs are less than optimal if you happen to be wearing a dress or skirt, if you are short in stature, or if you have a physical disability. Our GroundFloor frame designs have a very low step-over height: for some models, the step over height is as low as 35 cm. A low step over height means that getting on and off the bike in a hurry is a breeze. The reassuringly low step over height also opens the joys of cycling to people who may have avoided bicycles in the past. We're proud to say that we've received many letters from people with injuries, thanking us for re-opening the door to self-sufficiency.
