A2B Magazine
United Kingdom
"...it's a comfortable and rideable machine, reeling
off tens of miles with deceptive ease...the bike feels light
and agile on the road... The Boardwalk abounds with small
but effective touches...Sometimes everything comes together
just so, and the Boardwalk is one of those machines."

Product Multi-Test: Folding Bikes for under £400
- 1st place - Dahon Speed D6
A value package, with a chrome molybdenum steel frame, stylish
oval cross-beam, handy side stand and rear rack. With 20-inch
wheels, it gave a stable ride and the V-style brakes felt
safe. Both testers liked the ride, especially the six-speed
Shimano gears and security offered by larger tyres. The
Speed 6 may not suit all sizes but it's light and the price
is right.
- 2nd place - Philips Boardwalk (Dahon Boardwalk)
- 3rd place - Dahon Piccolo

"You're cruising to a new destination and want to take
a bicycle along for some exercise and exploring. However,
storage space on your boat is sparse. Well, we have a solution
for you. Dahon California, a leading manufacturer of portable
travel bikes, has introduced its new full-size Mariner folding
bicycle. The Mariner incorporates the company's new "Lite-Touch"
frame folding system that allows the bike to be folded in
seconds to a size measuring just 13" x 28" x 38",
essentially turning the Mariner into the ideal "land
dinghy". This full-size bicycle is equipped with
a high-quality 21 spd. Shimano derailleur with grip shift
and many rust-resistant components."
